Canning and Utah State Fair

It's that time of year again!! Whenever September comes my mom and I gear up for some major salsa canning. Last year was my first year doing it with my mom and this year Tyler and David even joined in on the fun (though I don't think they will be helping us again next year, they were scarred). We made 7 dozen jars of salsa and
I am canned out! It took two days and staying up til 1 in the morning to complete our project but it is so worth it! Now I'm glad it's over :)

Tyler also surprised me with a date night out to the fair! This is a tradition that we look forward to every year and I was so excited to go! We always look at all the booths and then go to a couple shows. This year there was a comedian that was hilarious and then some divers who jumped into an extremely shallow pool, I don't know how they did it.
It was such a fun time. Thanks to my
Honey for takin me on a date night!

As a side note to our awesome weekend, we had a couple moments where Ty and I scared my mom so bad and it was hilarious!! I don't know why it is so funny to me to scare someone because I get so mad whenever Tyler scares me (which he does all the time).

Anyways, this has lead to us starting a game with Halloween coming up and everything. For those of you who have seen the Worst Witch (a super old Halloween movie that is my favorite!) there is a part where they have a scaring contest and they would get a point every time they scared someone. Well, with all of us living in the same
House for the time being, we are going to do that exact thing. We will start a score board and whoever has the most
Points by November 1 gets some sort of prize. I will keep this updated on how it's going, bring on the scaring!

Labor Day Weekend

We had such a fun, busy weekend! We were spoiled because Ty didn't have to work Saturday or Monday for the holiday so we got a three day weekend together!

The Lloyd family reunion was this weekend (this is Linda's side of the family). It was a blast eating yummy food, playing kickball, watching the younger kids do their talents, and just to catch up with everyone. Everyone's lives change so fast that it's hard to keep up on what everyone is doing!

Then we were invited to go with our new friends Brad and Rachelle and their baby Avery to antelope island. So much fun, especially since we got so close to some buffalo!! It was awesome. We also saw some antelope and we saw PLENTY of bugs. Holy cow. It was like the plague, there were so many bugs. Luckily they were only by the water so they didn't bother us on our hike.

We ended our afternoon by hitting up the wing coop. Looks kinda shady but it is so GOOD! Best wings ever! They have like a million different sauces to choose from that I have to go back just try some different kinds.

Another thing that we have been doing is selling some of our old stuff (mostly furniture) on ksl. Talk about addicting! I have already sold 6 things on their and it has been so fun! I just get excited because we get to use the money to get nicer things! And I've realized that I'm quite the saleswoman during the process ;)

So, as I was writing this post, I thought of a funny conversation Ty and I had recently and I kinda feel like putting it
On here so bare with me!
Ty: these pears are kinda going bad. They're pretty squishy.
Me: Well it's not my fault you didn't eat it the day I bought them!
Ty: Well I'm not just gonna eat a cornucopia!

Ha! Oh man I laughed so hard with that one. This just shows mine and Tyler's daily conversations we have.

Writing about that conversation made me think of another one we had recently as well so bare with me again!

Ty and I have talked about adopting a baby from a different country sometime in the distant future. So one day I said I want to adopt a Polynesian baby! Wouldn't it be cool to go to Polynesia...! Tyler started to busted a gut. Now those of you who don't know why he is laughing, don't worry, I was in that spot too. Apparently Polynesia is not even a place. It's the Polynesian islands :) learn something new everyday!

Ok off of that tangent :) here's some pictures!
